So as some of you may know, we've been getting absolutely soaked here in Cleveland. Apparently, the weather seems to be crappy for most of us up north. We've had rain for the past few days, but it feels like a flippin' lifetime. I'd really like to enjoy the fall weather, but this is monsoon weather. We're at a brisk 47 degrees with no sight of drought. While my destination of choice is at a comfortable 58 degrees and mostly cloudy. Darn you, Raleighians!
Normally, I tend to enjoy the fall for a number of awesome reasons.

Most importantly, the food. I can see a number of you shaking your head, not surprised at this! But seriously, you get to use all these amazing flavors, like pumpkin, cinnamon, more pumpkin, and even more pumpkin! Did I mention pumpkin? Boy, do I love it! Especially when the pumpkin spice latte rolls out at Starbucks. Best $4.55 a girl/boy could spend. Although, typing out the $4.55 makes it seem like quite the rip-off. Oh well! The best place to find pumpkin/fall recipes right now is Pinterest. If you don't know what this is, you're pretty much failing at surfing the web. This site has EVERYTHING from EVERYWHERE! Basically, you join the site, type in a phrase, and BOOM! Countless photos from lots of different sources. Getting back to my original point, one reason I love fall is pumpkin flavored food. Fall is practically the only appropriate time to eat pumpkin.

Secondly, I love fall because of the colors. I feel like that's almost everyone's reason to love fall - the colors of the trees. I feel like it happened really fast this year. Probably because our weather was out of whack. We had maybe 2 weeks in the beginning of October where we hit close to 80 degree weather. That's Cleveland, for ya. Anyways, I can only imagine how lovely it must be in Raleigh this time of year. According to WRAL, I'm guessing their News Channel 5, it's supposed to be in the mid 70's all next week. All I have to say is, UGH. That is awesome. Perfect weather for a stroll in the park to take in all the beautiful colors.
Another reason I love the fall is for the photo opportunities. Some of you may know that I dabble in photography, I'm definitely a beginner. There's a ton of buttons/features that I really don't know a thing about on my Canon EOS Rebel XS, but I try. I'm definitely excited to visit all the parks in Raleigh and bust out my camera. I love nothing more than some awesome nature shots. My favorite time to shoot being fall, of course.
Here are some of the beauties I've taken so far this fall:
Lastly, I love the fall because of Halloween. What could possibly be more fun than dressing up like someone or something else, ringing someone's doorbell, and demanding that they drop some sweet treats into a bag? Sounds like the perfect heist. Over my 21 years of life, my mother has dressed me up like some pretty embarrassing things. For instance, one awful Halloween day when I was younger, she dressed me up as Little Bo Peep and my sister was dressed as a sheep. (And no, I will not upload a picture.) I've had a variety of some pretty ridiculous Halloween costumes. My first Halloween ever, my parents dad decided to dress me up as a Cleveland Browns dog. Thanks a lot, dad. Hopefully they didn't play as horribly as they do now.
But anyways, as you get older, you get to choose your costumes, which means way cooler costumes than mom could ever think up. So this year, I'm almost positive that Dan and I are going to hand out candy at my house dressed as Jim and Pam from The Office. Dan and I are completely and utterly obsessed with The Office. Okay, I am completely and utterly obsessed with The Office. Who can forget 3-Hole Punch Jim? Needless to say, Dan and I will be headed over to the thrift shop after church on Sunday! Whoop whoop!Anyways, I hope you all have a lovely fall full of pumpkin everything...
